Did you know, we naturally produce some cannabinoids in our bodies? They’re called endogenous cannabinoids. A well known one is anandamide, which is taken from a word meaning joy, bliss and delight. Many other cannabinoids can be found in the hemp plant, such as CBD. While some of these compounds have received a bad rep for causing unwanted psychoactive effects, CBD has been found to be very safe and lacks those negative side effects.Currently, CBD is being studied or used in some states as treatment for seizures, anxiety, inflammation, and more. Learn more about CBD.The way cannabinoids work is by interacting with our Endocannabinoid System. This system consists of two receptors (called CB1 and CB2), located on cell surfaces.CB1 has been found in the brain, central nervous system, and many other areas; and CB2 receptors on cells associated with our immune system.
